We are pleased to announce the 13th Annual Tcl/Tk conference (Tcl'2006), sponsored by Noumena Corporation , Digital Smarties , Eolas Technologies and ActiveState .
Spider Controls is a revolutionary new Graphic User Interface (GUI) that is more user friendly, and more productive than the 30-year old GUI paradigm that currently dominates the world PC market. At click of a specifically programmed button, the requested Spider control pops-up at a predictable location close to but not obscuring the screen area of user interest. Each control displayed—be it a menu, toolbar, list/combo box, dialog box, or palette--is formatted based on an easily learned, universally applicable graphic. Spider Controls is 15-20% more efficient than the current dominate GUI as demonstrated through theory, experimental results and simulation analyses. Focus groups and experience with a prototype of Spider Controls superimposed onto Microsoft Word further demonstrates that Spider takes only 20-30 minutes to learn, and is very user friendly.
