We are pleased to announce the 16th Annual Tcl/Tk conference (Tcl2009), sponsored by Noumena Corporation , and Mentor Graphics, with help from ActiveState, and ExpoTech.
Come to the 16th Tcl/Tk Conference to:
This year's keynote speaker will be Frank Hayes. Frank has been active in the IT arena since his first S-100 Buss CP/M system. He's been an industry watcher and columnist for ComputerWorld for several years.
Frank's blogs are here .
Arjen Markus will be our special guest this year. Arjen is well-known to the folks on the Tcler's Chat, frequent contributor to the wiki, and author of many useful tools. Arjen helped form the Dutch Tcl User's Group, and has been a presenter at some of the Tcl Europe conferences. Any time spent with him is time well spent.
There will be a jobs board again. If you are interested in hiring a Tcl/Tk expert or two, or are looking for new engagement, either show up with your announcement ready to tack on the board, or send email to fox@nscl.msu.edu.
Game Night Will Return. Bring your wits!
Details of the papers and tutorials to be presented are found on the Conference page on the Tclers Wiki here
Online registration is ready now.
Mention the Tcl Conference to get the convention room rate.
There are other activities in the area that are eating rooms, and there is no guarantee the hotel will have rooms for us after Aug 31.
Come learn about Tcl from the experts. The tutorials will include both introductory classes for Tcl newcomers and advanced classes for experienced programmers to learn new tricks and techniques.
See the list of tutorials.
More details will be added to the schedule as they become available.
Those attending the conference will be interested in the conference info page. Some of the non-conference related activities are discussed here at the Tcler's Wiki.

For those who are not presenting a paper at the conference, but would like to present their work in some form, we do provide several other forms of participation.
Slots for Works-in-Progress (WIP) presentations and Birds-of-a-Feather sessions (BOFs) are available on a first-come, first-served basis by sending email to fox@nscl.msu.edu. Some WIP and BOF time slots will be held open for on-site reservation, so we encourage all attendees with interesting work in progress to consider presenting that work at the conference. -->
